January 22, 2021

Digital Bridge Collaborative Body and external stakeholders met during the January annual meeting on Thursday, January 21st and Friday, January 22nd. Decisions made include: (1) The Collaborative Body approved the public health API white paper as version 1.0, with subsequent edits to be made including updates to the eCR section and updates to the building blocks figure and (2) a combined use case to work on the initial tasks of the proposed work.


January 22, 2021

The Digital Bridge Collaborative Body and additional stakeholders met virtually for the annual meeting on Thursday, January 21st and Friday, January 22nd.

The meeting objectives of this two-day meeting were:

  1. Obtain an update on and explore potential opportunities within public health data modernization and healthcare interoperability area.
  2. Develop an action plan to move the Newly Reportable Conditions (NRC) and Cancer Registries (CR) use case forward over the next 12 months, by way of understanding the technical / infrastructure, legal, policy, regulatory, and implementation needs.
  3. Discuss and approve version 1.0 of the Public Health API white paper, for publication and dissemination.

November 5, 2020

(1) The Newly Reportable Conditions using eCR Infrastructure and Cancer Registries use cases were voted to move forward and collaborate where their work aligns, (2) The Collaborative Body will respond to a questionnaire from the Secretariat on their interest, capacity, and willingness to work on the Skilled Nursing Facilities Reporting proposal, (3) The Public Health API White Paper is published on the Digital Bridge website as a working document to public comment and will be approved as final at the January virtual meeting.


November 5, 2020

Topics discussed during the November 2020 Collaborative Body meeting included a (1) review/presentation of the Cancer Registries, Skilled Nursing Facilities Reporting, and Newly Reportable Conditions Use Case Project Statement and Evaluation forms, (2) vote to move forward with the Cancer Registries and/or Newly Reportable Conditions workgroups (3) presentation and discussion on the Public Health API White Paper and next steps.

September 10, 2020

(1) The Digital Bridge Immunization Registries Workgroup will not move forward with its use case at this time; the Workgroup will continue to monitor progress of the IZ Gateway project and reduce its cadence of meetings. (2) The Collaborative Body will provide a recommendation to the Newly Reportable Conditions workgroup at its November 5 meeting, after hearing from the remaining two workgroups. The Newly Reportable Conditions workgroup will pause its work until then.


September 10, 2020

Topics discussed during the September 2020 Collaborative Body meeting included a (1) review of the Use Case Project Statement and Evaluation forms, (2) presentation of the Use Case Project Statement Form and Review Form from the Newly Reportable Conditions using eCR Infrastructure Workgroup, followed by discussion and a tote to approve the Workgroup moving forward, (3) presentation and update from the Immunization Registries Workgroup, followed by a discussion, (4) discussion on capacity for Workgroups moving forward, and (5) an eCR update.
